Behavioral Health Services in Maine-A System Overview

Training Description

Many youth in the state of Maine will access behavioral health treatment services at some point during their childhood. This training will increase one’s understanding of the types of behavioral health services available for children in Maine. Participants will have an opportunity to learn about the various levels of care within the children’s behavioral health system and how to access those. In addition, discussion will focus on the various treatment models that can be utilized within those services. The training will center on common childhood diagnoses and their most effective treatments. Participants will also have an opportunity to learn ways to assess effectiveness of treatment. The training will provide support tools to help guide practice. This training is appropriate for anyone who works closely with youth and who may be responsible for arranging behavioral health services for them.

There is no cost for this training.

Lunch will be 30 minutes on your own. Please plan accordingly.

Time: 8:30am to 4:30pm
